Well-Stirred & Wondering is a journal of mindfulness across the layers of everyday life—where presence is steeped like tea, and wonder is stirred gently into the ordinary.
Here you’ll find reflections on the beauty of daily rituals, the joy of thrifting and traveling, the creativity of cooking and decorating, and the grounding practice of journaling and writing. It’s a space for noticing—whether in the quiet of evening tea, the bustle of a market, or the tender moments of raising three boys overseas.
Written from the perspective of a school counselor, seasoned traveler, devoted mother, and lifelong seeker, this blog explores how mindfulness can be lived, not just practiced: in laughter and love, in resilience and growth, in the sacred ordinary.
At its heart, this is a place to pause, breathe, and rediscover life as a well-stirred blend—of wisdom, joy, and curiosity.
Well-Stirred & Wondering marks the gentle rebirth of my blogging journey. A decade ago, I wrote as the author of Casseruola Dolce Della Vita—“Life’s Sweet Casserole”—a space where I explored the ingredients of identity, purpose, and becoming. I paused that writing in 2015, but life kept stirring.
Now, older, wiser, and more mindful, I return to the page with new layers: motherhood, healing, travel, and the quiet art of noticing. Well-Stirred & Wondering is the next serving of that same story—seasoned by time, steeped in gratitude, and stirred with wonder.
